Dr. Rubinstein launches label with debut release, Rubi's Acid Spa

- Dr. Rubinstein has released music for the first time. Out today, April 24th, through her new label, Uppers and Downers, Rubi's Acid Spa spans three high-energy acid techno cuts that have been a recent fixture of the Berlin-based DJ's sets. A listening party for the EP will take place at 9 PM CET tonight via her YouTube page. "The idea behind the label is my own personal journey as an undiagnosed autistic person," said Dr. Rubinstein. "Growing up, I could never find my place or feel at home anywhere. The very first feelings of home—of belonging and mutual understanding—came to me on the dance floor, and I have never looked back! When I started DJing, I was able to channel this feeling of home to dance floors all over the world in my sets, and after years of doing so, I feel ready and inspired to do the same as a music producer and label curator." Dr. Rubinstein will tour the EP across numerous gigs in the coming weeks, including Awakenings Festival , London's Village Underground and Nantes club Macadam.
