  • UK label Timehri Records has developed a new machine-learning tool to help you dig for vinyl on Discogs. Timehri Dig Assistant was developed by data engineers at the London outlet. It's currently at beta stage and can be used to search for pre-January 2022 records, covering electronic music only. This includes genres such as house, techno, jungle, hardcore and dubstep. To use the tool, users simply post a link to a Discogs release into the website, which then spits out between one and six recommendations. These, according to the label, "are algorithmic and don't explicitly reflect the preferences of Timehri Records." Users can then dig further by pressing the "dive" button next to each recommendation. For example, Resident Advisor posted a link to DJ Minx's A Walk In The Park EP and was recommended Plastikman's Consumed album. After pressing "dive," we were recommended the following six releases.
